KML to GeoJSON conversion in R

I’ve written a very basic script to convert KML files into GeoJSON. This may be of use to any R users trying for the first time to get data from sources such as Google Earth or ScribbleMaps into the into webpages. Open the script in text editor first for instructions.

Test the finished output in geojsonlint.com’s useful facility.
