The Office for National Statistics will be consulting on options for the future of population statistics in England and Wales, including the potential discontinuation of the conventional census.  Some of the options under consideration have profound implications for the future availability of data on population counts and characteristics for small areas. This meeting will bring together the geographical and statistical communities to discuss the key issues and promote informed responses to the consultation.

Speakers will include Sir Ian Diamond, Professor Danny Dorling, Professor David Martin and representatives of the Office of National Statistics. More to be confirmed shortly.

Register now to secure a place. Registration deadline 14 October; however, places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
